Engine Assembly in China – Full-scale Scania production setup from zero
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. One part of this project is the establishment of an Engine Assembly plant. We are now looking for Engineers to join the project team to put industrial processes and organization in place.
In the project, you will be a part of an exciting journey to create a full-scale production plant in China. Starting from zero, the project team is responsible to design, build and launch production in a completely new factory. • Manage procurement of equipment needed to perform the audit.
You will act as the main interface towards involved equipment suppliers and the project team regarding the audit operations. You will monitor the budget, time plan, and result for the investments and be part of a team of engineers with a focus on the processes after the assembly line. This also includes an end-of-line engine test including a rigging process as well as an engine repair area.
In this team, you will support each other to successfully define, procure and implement the new processes. The audit operations also have connections to and will require cooperation with the Scania R&D organization as well as the audit process in the Södertälje engine assembly plant.

Since the corporate & project language is English and you will have International contacts, it is required that you can confidently express yourself in English, both orally and in writing.
Meritorious is a university degree in engineering or similar and at least a couple of years of work experience in engine test operations.
