Engineer Manager

Qapital is looking for an Engineer Manager to join the Qrew! We are seeking an Engineer Manager to manage a team of skilled and friendly engineers and empower them to reach their full potential. In this role, you will
- Coach and oversee a team of skilled engineers and ensure that they meet goals and objectives.
- Build a diverse team and recruit additional engineer staff as needed.
- Advocate and foster self-ownership as well as a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Hold one on ones to deliver feedback, set goals and enable the team to reach individual professional growth.
- Collaborate with Product Managers/Owners and business stakeholders to create and align on engineering-wide priorities and goals specific to the needs of the organization.
- Oversee progress and timeliness of projects and perform on other related duties as required.


Skills and requirements

- 5+ years of experience managing software engineers.
- Experience building and leading engineering teams in a cross functional and agile environment, preferably at a startup or scale up.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
- Experience in setting targets, follow-up on delivery, and improving performance on a team and personal level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A desire to empower the individuals and the teams to perform at their best and to feel engaged and self-proficient.
