Do you want to join and drive the shift to a sustainable transport system?
Electrification is in a more exciting phase than ever! The demand for competitive, climate-smart, transport solutions increases rapidly.
Scania is now investing heavily in battery test capabilities within performance, safety and abuse testing to be able to meet the demands of our customers.
We are looking for motivated and curious engineers with experience in battery testing or battery development to join our team.
About us
Our team, Battery cell, and module testing are responsible for testing batteries from single cells to sub pack level.
We have the complete test responsibility and we perform performance tests ourselves. Safety and abuse capabilities are under development. We plan and execute tests and analyze the results.
We work actively with improving our methods continuously and strive to have a culture that welcomes new ideas and approaches.
Your tasks
This position is aimed to strengthen our team within module testing.
• Deploy complicated tests with the aim set to understand how different parameters affect the battery cell with the constraints from the module design.
• Perform experiments with a focus to understand the electrochemical behaviors of battery electrochemistry.
• Based on your experience, knowledge, and ambition, you will be given varying tasks.
• Keeping a good dialog with stakeholders, which is key for successful testing so relationship-building communication is important.
Your profile
In our team, diversity is key to success!
• You might be a chemist with a master’s in electrochemistry and experience from laboratory work.
• Or, you are an engineer with a strong analytical mindset with programming skills that like to process large amounts of data.
• Perhaps your strengths might lie in being a practical person who likes to get the show on the road.
Regardless of your strengths, you like to take your analyzed results and boil them down to neat graphs that you happily share and discuss with your stakeholders and team members.
It is an advantage if you have
• experience in battery development
• experience in testing and verification within hardware components
• Knowledge in data analytics and visualization tools such as Python and Matlab
• experience in metrology "the science of measurement”
• experience in embedded systems and ECU communication
• knowledge in Swedish or German
