Staff Function R&D, within Strategic Development, is searching for a R&D Engineer within Mechanical Engineering.

Your tasks as an experimental R&D engineer
As an experimental R&D engineer within Vattenfall R&D, you will work with monitoring and measurements on our production units as well as performing experimental work and analysis at the Vattenfall R&D laboratory located in Älvkarleby.
Your assignments will vary, examples are:
Monitoring and measurements at our wind and hydro power assets
Propose and design measurement techniques for Vattenfall assets to acquire required data
Design experiments at the Älvkarleby laboratory
Analyse and evaluate measured data
Support production units regarding condition monitoring
Qualifications
Your qualifications
Relevant University degree within Engineering which could include mechanics, fluid mechanics and measurement techniques, e.g. MSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Previous experience from experimental work and measurements of vibrations, forces and flows
Work experience regarding condition monitoring within the power industry are advantageous
Good communicative skills in English is a must. Swedish are advantageous
Driver's licence (B)

You are a considerate listener with analytic skills expressing your reasoning clearly as well as succinctly. You are creative and often bring new ideas and approaches in work-related issues that can be transformed into action and added value for the company. We believe you have the capacity to drive the process from idea to practice and encourage diverse thinking to achieve goals.
