Arbetsbeskrivning
Help us build big! Our Utility department is responsible for utility scale solar projects and is currently on a strong growth path both in Sweden and across Europe. The recent announcement (https://sveasolar.com/pers/Svea%20Solar%20raises%20a%20further%20%E2%82%AC100%20million/) of an investment from CarVal of 100 MEUR for the department to deploy in solar parks and batteries across Europe doesn't slow things down. We're here to scale on solar power and make a substantial contribution to society through the energy system.
Want to contribute in decarbonizing the hell out of the European power system? Then join the Powershift!
The role
As Engineering & Design Specialist you'll be working with the design, engineering and planning of our solar parks. You'll belong to a team who has built Sweden’s largest solar parks with expertise in areas such as solar energy simulation, engineering & design, solar park optimization, sales, grid connection, project leading and solar park construction. Together with your colleagues you'll iterate on the best solutions for how we design our parks.
But what should I actually do? Well, here's a good old bullet point list to show what your main scope would be:
- Design solar parks (1-100 MW) in Sweden & abroad to maximize energy yield (MWh) and overall profitability by using AutoCAD and a solar energy simulation tool.
- Analyze and assess site specific conditions such as topography to make life easier for project leads and site specialists
- Support the business development and sales teams with early stage solar park designs and solar energy simulations
- Support project leads with relevant documentation according to request from customers and country specific regulations
- Finding ways to increase the yield and profitability of our solar parks by researching novel technologies such as Single Axis Trackers, AgriPV, and large scale batteries
Are we a match?
To thrive at Svea Solar we think it's important that our values (https://sveasolar.com/about-us/#mission) correlates with your own since they are the guiding stars that help us move forward. Working in our team, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the direction of your work, driven by mutual trust and ownership. We have a culture of collaboration where we see mistakes as a natural part of learning. Work experience in our industry aside, we think that plenty of grit, problem solving skills, a curious mind and a genuine interest in solar energy takes you a long way.
Feel free to challenge us but we’ll fine comb your resume to find things like:
- A rockstar at taking ownership of projects
- Experience from a technical role (for example engineering, design or documentation)
- A technical degree within engineering or similar
- Good knowledge in AutoCAD (or similar CAD tool) and Excel
If you on top of this also have:
- Experience within electrical systems and/or the energy sector
- Experience within handling GIS data, weather practically in field or via tools such as ArcGIS
.. Then you've ticked a lot of boxes and I'm pretty (very!) sure you would be a great addition to the team!
