Engineering Design Systems Technician

About the position
The main objectives as Engineering Design Systems (EDS) Technician are to support and provide the global KA organization EDS software and application environment with high availability and security. You will get to work in a company where your efforts are visible and have an impact. The position is located at our facilities in Mullsjö Sweden and you will be reporting to Regional Manager Engineer Design Systems IS&T.
Responsibilities
Provide 1st Line support to end users globally in KA according to IS&T Guidelines and procedures. EDS Technician will work closely together with CAD and PLM System administrators who will act as 2nd line support.
Responsibilities are, but are not limited to, the following:
• Monitor EDS support mail inboxes and EDS support ticket inboxes
• Installation of EDS software on workstations/laptops using SCCM or manually.
• Manage and keep User Access updated for EDS software.
• Launch or installation of new versions or releases of EDS software.
• Analysing, troubleshooting EDS software issues on Desktops/Laptops
• Make Proactive monitoring of EDS systems and application according to agreed procedures and frequency.
• Compile periodic statistics reports, e.g. PLM user count,
• In case of Incidents manage IS&T announcement
• Coordinate EDS portals and common areas
• Work together with the EDS Manager to Compile periodic statistics reports, e.g. PLM user count, etc.
• Work active on developing the support role globally and propose new ideas, ways of handling the different EDS tasks the technician is involved with.
• Work closely with the IS&T USG and Server team
• Together with the EDS team have contact with resellers, suppliers
Requirements
Education: IT Technical University
Experience: Well educated, with formal education but with 1-2 years of working experience in the area. Prefer basic knowledge or experience with SAP PLM, ECAD, and/or MCAD software
Good knowledge in Win 10 and Office products
Proficiency in Excel, Power-Bi and SharePoint is a plus
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required
