The Engineering Graduate program
The Engineering Graduate Program at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business challenges.

Job description
As a data scientist, your role will be to apply your creative thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in the areas of data mining, processing, modeling, and knowledge development. You will take an active approach in discovering fresh insights into our customers' usage patterns and expectations for our vehicles. Collaborating closely with our engineers, providing them with essential support and tools for data investigation, test strategy planning, and shaping product requirements to drive improvements

Your ability to gracefully navigate challenges and make sound decisions, even when information is sparse.
Required knowledge/experience
In order to qualify for the Engineering Graduate program you must have completed a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or equivalent prior to the start of the program but not more than 18 months ago. You should not have more than two years full-time working experience prior to starting.
Furthermore, we value technical curiosity and the desire to understand. If you have knowledge in data analytics tools and platforms such as SQL, Python, R, Matlab, Azure, PowerBI, Databricks, SPSS or equivalent it is a merit. You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
