The Engineering Graduate program

The Engineering Graduate Program at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business challenges.  

Besides your manager, who will guide and support you in your daily job, you will have a supportive network of peer graduates, colleagues across the globe and senior leaders to help you excel. We hope you will learn as much from us as we will from you. 

How you will make an impact

You will be part of the team responsible for developing the embedded system platform that serves as the foundation for both conventional and electromobility drivelines. This platform includes essential components such as low-level MCU drivers, device drivers for connected peripherals, and communication stacks for CAN and Ethernet. It also incorporates features like real-time OS configuration, diagnostic event management, and ECU power management.

In this role, you will be expected to actively lead and perform the software design, implementation, verification, and integration of embedded software. Your work will enable new capabilities within our in-house software platform. You will collaborate closely with software developers and development teams to ensure the platform supports standardized solutions across various projects, applications, and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, you will play a key role in refining our development processes, tools, and continuous integration framework to drive efficiency and innovation.


Who are you?

We are looking for the next generation engineers who wants to make a real difference to society. You are passionate about what you do, have a curious mind and are willing to learn. Just like us, you thrive on teamwork.
You have knowledge of embedded software development in C and Python. It is meritorious if you have experience working with Software development post, pre, during education or in personal projects.

In order to qualify for the Engineering Graduate program, you must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following fields: Data Science, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical engineering, Industrial Economy, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Design Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems or similar prior to the start of the program but not more than 18 months ago. You should not have more than two years full-time working experience prior to starting. You also need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
