Our tech team is at the very core of our business. The team enables us to scale and deliver the smartest insurance platform there is. We focus on building a flexible system that enables us to expand across different EU markets. Further, we work on improving the customer journey by reducing manual processes via automation. The tech team works closely with our business units, and their stakeholders, to ensure that our development work has the right impact on our business output.


What about the role?
As an Engineering Lead, you will never be far from solving problems and writing code, yet you will have the responsibility of leading and coaching our talented backend developers. In addition to the support on daily tasks, you will ensure that they are developing their capabilities and career.


On top of that, you will have the responsibility of communicating with stakeholders by explaining solutions and technical trade-offs. This role aims to bring clarity to the organization over what we do and how we do it.


What about you?
Having experience as a developer along with coaching or leadership experience is what we are looking for. You don’t have to be an experienced leader/coach, but you should have the potential, interest, and motivation to develop in this direction. A big part of the role includes hands-on coding, and you should be familiar with our tech stack:
•Kotlin & Java
•Spring
•Postgre
•SQL
•Kubernetes


We believe that a good developer is a problem-solver who is capable of learning any new tech stack. We highly value both a good attitude and personality and place a lot of emphasis on these "soft skills". For this position, we are interested in your leadership style.
