Engineering Manager

Univrses is now looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our teams of engineers and scientists in Stockholm. We are growing rapidly and need a manager that can lead efforts around staff and policies whilst maintaining and evolving the positive culture in the company.
Univrses is a 3D Computer Vision and Machine Learning company based in Stockholm, creating high-end technologies for autonomous systems. We work in several different areas, but our main focus is on self-driving vehicles, mobile robotics and smart city development. Our team consists of hard-working and friendly people from all over the world with diverse backgrounds and expert knowledge in computer vision, robotics, machine learning, physics, math, software development and more.
Your role
You will be Line Manager of one or more teams of 5-7 engineers and scientists.
You will work closely together with Product Owners to align on planned delivery status vs. actual status
You will ensure that the teams have the right personnel and structure in place and, when needs arise, work with the teams to modify/adapt
You will own the team efficiency and focus on maintaining a good work flow
You will secure long term competence sourcing and rebalancing of the teams to build a flexible organization with the capacity to meet our current and future business needs
You will define and maintain company policies around employees

Who you are
You have experience from a relevant software development domain You have a proven leadership (line management) experience, and have previously been leading engineers and scientists
You are a people person and a team builder with the ability to engage and empower others
You have a transparent and inclusive approach combined with personal drive, passion and an entrepreneurial mindset
You are capable of managing both strategic and operational tasks
You have experience from working with Agile Software Development
