We are building the most convenient, transparent and easy way to buy or lease an electrified vehicle online. Our aim is to turn one of life’s potentially biggest financial decisions - getting a car - into something truly enjoyable, and at the same time help consumers make more sustainable choices. Carla was founded in 2020 in Stockholm, with strong VC backing.

We are now in an exciting growth phase looking for an experienced engineer manager that is looking to join an early stage startup, and work closely together with the business to help solving our inventory, logistics and commerce challenges!

What you’ll get to do

- Be part of a cross functional product team consisting of a product manager, UX/UI Design, & Frontend + Backend Engineering.
- Be responsible for staffing and recruiting engineers for your team.
- Give engineers the right tools, confidence and motivation to empower them to make decisions as both individual contributors and teams
- Acting as an advisor and sharing your experience in Ways of Working, technical support, processes and decisions within your team
- Bring a perspective that inspires change and motivates engineers to develop simple solutions to sophisticated problems
- Work with the other Engineering managers, and CTO
- Focus on execution and iteration, making sure your team is hitting regular achievements to help us constantly improve and learn


Who you are

- A background in software development
- You like enabling people to become more efficient at what they do


Extra bonus if you have

- Experience from a tech startup or scale-up company
- Experience with backend or front end web development.
- A leadership background as a Product Manager, Product Owner or similar
