Engineering Manager

Svea Solar is revolutionizing the electric grid and optimizing the energy usage for tens of thousands (soon to be hundreds of thousands 😉). To create a product, we can be proud of, we need great leaders who can encourage a healthy, collaborative engineering culture to bring out the best in our teams and people. That is why we are looking for an Engineering Manager to help us become the engineering organization we want to be!



The role

The role includes growing individuals, teams and continuously improve how we hire, and evolve our ways of working. Other responsibilities include facilitating great cross-team collaboration and holding us accountable for following technical guidelines and non-functional requirements.



We are transitioning from a more traditional team set-up into a modern software organization, with cross-functional teams, who really have the technical ownership over what they produce. You are also expected to bring a company and business perspectives to the teams.

- Promoting and coaching teams and individuals in working in a modern, agile, way in a flat and diverse organization. 

- Ensuring technical soundness and that we strive to improve how we develop and deliver a product while meeting non-technical requirements. 

- Provide business context and leadership in building autonomous teams that solves real business challenges towards company goals. 

- Help people grow by having a real interesting in what motivates and makes each of us special.

As we are looking for our next Engineering Manager, we believe you should have experience working as a manager and you have worked in an agile product organization.
