Engineering Manager

As part of our journey, we are looking for a leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced, product-driven (and really fun!) environment to lead a team of up to 8-10 Software Developers creating products and features that help us win globally 🌍🥇



This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a SW Developer or Tech lead background, seeking a challenge to grow a team, evolve how we work, and deliver value for an ever-increasing customer base.

About the job
The role of Engineering Manager involves embracing some interesting challenges around designing for the future of Telavox's growth.

Your main focus will be:

Grow (recruit) and scale a team of SW Developers.

Focus on talent through a mix of coaching, performance measurement, employee growth and retention.

Product delivery using an agile mindset.

Responsibility for influencing, evolving and executing on the product and technology roadmaps.

Active participation, as part of the product area management team, in strategic discussions that shape and evolve the product area of 4 teams and 25+ colleagues.

Tech-wise; you will be a big part in ensuring that we make the right choices in terms of tools and technologies for your area where the typical technologies currently include Java, APIs, MySql and more.

Your main objective will be to build a self-sufficient and highly motivated team of Software Engineers, focused on making our users’ life easier and more productive.

About you

The desire and ability to build a balanced and diverse team.

Lead with empathy using a people-centric approach.

Demonstrate determination and resolve to affect positive change.

A technology background to facilitate strategic technical discussions. If you still enjoy coding and design then there’s scope to do some of that too - but it's not a requirement for the role.

Some extra superpowers you might bring to the role:

Previous leadership experience managing people and teams.

Being a servant leader, enabling success through others.

Understanding the "Why" and being able to articulate it to your team.

Prior experience in telecommunications…but no worries if that’s not the case!

You will lead the Partner Sales & Enablement Team at Telavox, where we're on a mission to create the ultimate BSS system (it’s a telecom thing! 📞) for Telavox.
