Who we are
In our R&D division, the SW and Electronics platform unit is at the forefront of developing the central computational platform. This platform supports a variety of basic functions in the car, as well as advanced Active Safety functions and Autonomous drive functions. In the High Performance platform department, we code the base software on a state-of-the-art embedded multiprocessor environment from Nvidia to enable the effective integration of applications.

What you will do
As an Engineering Manager, you will head engineering teams in the High Performance (HP) node of the Core Computer. The HP node’s mission in the Core computer is to act as a platform for applications needing computational power. Your teams will be responsible for validating requirements on the HP node.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include approving requirements as testable, overseeing the in-house implementation of automated tests to verify these requirements, and maintaining the test strategy for the complete HP node. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining Way Of Working instructions, derived from the test strategy, for teams across all levels of testing, including unit, integration, and requirement validation.
On a daily basis, you will collaborate with your teams, test architect, and product owner to ensure operational standards. Your role involves safeguarding long-term technical strategies in close collaboration with product owners and architects, focusing on improvements in tools, IT infrastructure, workflows, and overall ways of working.
Another crucial aspect of your role is the development and coaching of your team members, actively supporting them in reaching their full potential. Proactively engaging in competence development, you will work to ensure that the team possesses the right skills for their tasks. Additionally, you will be involved in the recruitment process, seeking highly skilled professionals aligned with identified capability and competence needs. Your role is vital in ensuring continuous improvement, both in terms of individual and team performance, within the broader context of the organization's goals and goals.

We are on the lookout for an excellent candidate to join our Lund team as a Solution Engineer in our External Collaboration & PD Management team at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. In this role, you will have an integral part in driving change and innovation within our Engineering Framework.
As a Solution Engineer, you will focus on process development, business change, and digital tool development, contributing to the transformation of the world of mobility. Your expertise will be key in being the main point of contact and coordinator for Product Development management areas related to Planning, Issue, Deviation, and Change handling. You will oversee and support PMTI areas while running initiatives and projects in your specialized focus area. If you are a tech proficient professional with extensive experience in Volvo Cars' product development processes, process management, and stakeholder management, we encourage you to apply.
