The Product Group Transformer Components and Service is a key product group within Hitachi Energy. In one of our main units, located in Ludvika, Sweden, we develop, sell, and produce Transformer Bushings and Tap-Changers. The Engineering organization consist of roughly 70 Engineers and in this position, you have 12 direct reports including four managers. We are part of delivering a safe way of transferring electricity while keeping losses at a minimum.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager, a team player who is driven, structured and has a result-oriented mindset. In this role you will be located in Ludvika, but you will collaborate on a global arena with a wide range of stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for the engineering operations of the business.
Develop the organization and the people to ensure a constant feed of talents to the entire business.
Ensure that Customer focus is embedded in all parts of the Engineering function.
Direct and oversee business engineering practices, including the effective optimization of equipment and materials for production.
Manage the introduction of new/modified equipment, tools, software and systems.
Provide insight and develop priorities for engineering projects and services, while ensuring engineering performance and quality goals are met.
Analyze market and technology demands to assess the feasibility of projects and plans.
Establish engineering standards, develop new, productive tools and manage budgetary controls.

Your background
University degree, Master or Ph D in Engineering or relevant discipline
Previous experience from Engineering or R&D
Knowledge in bushings and tap changers is preferred.
Transformer competence is a bonus.
Minimum 3 years of managerial experience is required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel
Team building skills.
