Core System Application Software
We are the central SW governance and development team for Core System application development. The application development is distributed throughout our R&D and the assignment for our department is to have the central governance for how we develop the applications in the Core System. Application architecture, applications governance, design guidelines, tools, application, development support, measurement, test, system performance/analysis and system integration for the Core System Applications is at the table for our department. The department today consists of 110 people set up in 12 agile teams in Lund, Torslanda and Shanghai.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager for our SW Development team, you will be responsible for:
Encouraging continuous learning within the team, enabling team members to be curious about taking on new ways of working, and providing them with tools to innovate. In 2025 we envisage substantial hiring, and you will be leading this process to implement a good strategic foundation for our SW development capabilities. Oversee employees’ work environment, including defined tasks and HR-related processes such as salary setting, performance reviews, and goal setting. Leading a team of SW Engineers, ensure that the direction, strategy and product backlog are continuously updated, refined and deployed for the team. Contribute to the design of engineering solutions by collaborating and working cross functionally with various engineering teams.
What you'll bring
Software and Platform Engineering:
• Strong expertise in leveraging new and emerging technologies to deliver robust software as well as experience in embedded systems and tools for embedded development.
Engineering Design:
• Proficiency in applying the right tools, processes, and software to execute efficient design activities within the software engineering context.
Planning and Organization:
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and oversee tasks effectively to achieve objectives on time.
• Workforce planning/budget skills
Adaptive Mindset:
• Adaptable approach to problem-solving, adjusting strategies and thinking to excel in dynamic and changing environments.
Leadership skills:
• Experience in Inspiring, motivating, and building respect among people/teams.
Qualifications:
• BS or MS Engineering; Electrical/Computer Science.
• +10 years of experience from leading agile product development of Software/Electronics products.
• Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.
• In-depth experience of complex embedded systems and tools for embedded development.
• Automotive domain experience.
