You will be the very first Engineering Manager here at Toca Boca. This means that you’ll get to be a part of building a great employee experience for the engineers at a company known for its great culture and inclusivity. Here you can take your ideas, try them out, put them into action and help shape how we do people management.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll collaborate closely with our Craft Manager Linus in leading our team of developers. You’ll focus on the people side of things, Linus will focus on the craft - programming. The developers are all part of various projects, working on products such as Toca Life World and the not yet released Toca Days.

You’ll get to know all team members and create individual development plans and goals for everyone. You’ll understand what motivates an individual in the team and what they need to perform at a higher level, and give them the support needed. You’ll be a mentor for the team, someone they can reach out to for advice and guidance.

You’ll ensure that the yearly salary reviews run smoothly without a hitch because you’ll work with, and manage, people's expectations and address them early on so there are no surprises in the review and salary process.

You will stay up to date with what is going on in the projects, sharing and passing on information. New challenges will surely arise and you will rise to the task.

Is this you?
You are an experienced people manager with a background in tech. You can relate to the developers and have an understanding for what they do and the challenges they face.

You enjoy the people aspect of being an Engineering Manager. You want to build the best team rather than creating the best technical solution.

As a person you are calm, methodical, empathetic with great integrity.

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office. We apply 6 months of probationary employment. As we’re an international company, with over 10 nationalities and millions of users all over the world, you have to be fluent in English. Your application should therefore be in English.
