What’s in it for you?
This role is within our Mobile Experience Cluster, responsible for developing the Volvo Cars Mobile Apps and services.
Your responsibilities will include discovery and delivery of Mobile application experiences in empowered product teams. This will include rapid development of prototypes/concepts as well as regular product development to push mobile development at Volvo Cars to the next level.
You’ll be joining a team that values honesty, integrity, trust and thinks that work should be both challenging and fun.

The team is located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund,  Sweden. We also interact with teams in San Francisco US and in Shanghai China.
Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Sony, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna, EA Games etc.

You And Your Skills
You are experienced with agile development and a champion of modern software tech company best practices.
We are looking for an experienced software engineering manager, who has previously built
and led software engineering teams. Experience from Mobile app development is a merit.

You will spend a big part of your time leading tech, in 1-2 product teams, together with representatives from UX and Product. Additionally, you will be responsible for recruitment, compensation, and employee career development for a group of approximately 5-10 engineers.

You probably have a degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related technical field, or
equivalent practical experience. You have a passion for transforming and developing digital
products, architecture and best practices, love to interact with development teams to understand their needs and product missions.

With servant leadership, curiosity and openness, technical knowledge and experience, you strive to create a fast and fun developer experience.

Good people management, collaboration and communication skills are essential in this role.
