Your responsibilities
- Personnel management: Ensure your team has all the necessary competencies to reach its goals by leading, coaching, mentoring and hiring software developers. You make sure that a healthy engineering culture is in place and you have a fully functioning team.
- Technical strategy & innovation: Be accountable for your team’s technical strategy, execution and timely delivery of quality products. Collaborate with engineers to guide them to the right technical solution, own the holistic system architecture and help your team to aim for scale.
- Process management: Ensure that best engineering practices are in place. Design and improve agile software development processes with efficiency in mind. Collaborate, coordinate and prioritize together with product managers, commercial stakeholders.
- Leadership: Remove the roadblocks and enable your team to reach their targets. Inspire & influence the entire Metry organization, people, processes and the technology to make a real impact.

We believe you are a real people person who has the ability to motivate, inspire and coach your team to reach their full potential. We think you are a team player with great communication skills and you have hands-on experience in every step of the end to end software development lifecycle. You are confident enough to roll up your sleeves and work closely with engineers when they need your help.

You love breaking down and solving problems utilizing technology with scale in mind and people in the center. You are an enabler and a multiplier for your team. You are up to date with the latest trends in the software engineering field. You love leading and inspiring your team using your experience and in depth knowledge. You enjoy collaborating with engineers, product managers and other stakeholders.

It is a huge plus if you have gone through a growth journey before and have experience in scaling teams and scaling technology.

Requirements
- You have experience in leading, managing, coaching software engineering teams.
- You have a software engineering background with previous hands-on experience building production grade modern applications.
- Preferably you have experience in designing, architecting, deploying SaaS applications in the cloud.
- You are fluent in English and you have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are fluent in at least one general purpose programming language and you have a language agnostic approach (C#, Python, Typescript, PHP, Java, Go, Javascript, etc.)
- You care about technical excellence as well as agile software development processes and healthy team culture.
- You are experienced in collaborating and coordinating together with multiple stakeholders.
