The role
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our talented product development teams. On one hand you will be responsible for the team’s overall well-being and personal development through hiring, onboarding, coaching, development planning and reviewing. On the other hand you'll be in charge of organizing, building, and maintaining our products together with other Engineering Managers, Team Leads, and Product Managers. You'll play an active role in both the product development team and a fast-growing startup where your opinions and passions will have a real impact!
This is you
You're social, hands-on at times, and interested in being responsible for projects from start to finish. Together with the rest of the product development team, you'll work to bring all our products to the next level. You'll take on the personal manager responsibilities of the members of your teams, coaching and guiding them in their day-to-day work, as well as their long-term professional development. You’ll also be responsible for the overall team performance and will report directly to our CTO.
What your days will be look like
You’ll be working with your colleagues to define and build the best product experience Oneflow can offer, inside and out
Coaching and mentoring your team members and actively working to improve team health and performance
Work towards seeing your colleagues and team members thrive and evolve professionally and personally
You’ll have an active part in hiring new talent together with your team leads to scale up your teams
Keeping up to date with programming languages, frameworks and platforms
Creating, developing and maintaining components, applications and packages for our systems that will facilitate usage, stability and scalability throughout all of Oneflows products
Helping the team set future architecture, technology stack and working process
Facilitating discussions and debates, both technical and non-technical with your colleagues and peers
Skills & requirements
We’d love it if you have a background in:
Long term product development in a team environment
Coaching and mentoring colleagues, team members or direct reports
A broad spectrum of programming languages, frameworks and platforms
System integrations, making different systems and applications play well together while being able to leverage their individual strengths
3+ years experience working as an engineer or relevant higher education. The number of years isn't crucial. It’s more important that you’ve got the ability to use your previous experience
Having worked with OKRs in a product development environment
Security architecture (OWASP, encryption, etc.)
