As Engineering Manager for one of Aftonbladet’s tech teams, you will be responsible for helping the teams' engineers to grow and driving continuous improvement in the team, including the opportunity to influence culture, facilitate technical delivery and work on strategy and execution. You will additionally have the possibility to work close to other highly dedicated and competent cross-functional teams that are working on building core functionalities in both app and web across our organization.

Who you are
As our new Engineering Manager we believe that you have a technical background in software engineering (preferably Javascript). You thrive on developing people and building an inclusive team, with a humble and open leadership approach. You have experience in coaching autonomous and cross-functional teams and working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities in an agile environment.
Your responsibilities

Attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent. Help to improve the recruitment process and be part of it by reviewing technical tasks and holding interviews.

Develop people through coaching and mentoring. Conduct regular 1:1, goal setting, and feedback conversations with engineers to ensure their well-being and support them in their growth. Continuously work to improve inclusion and belonging on your team and within our organization.

Foster great teamwork, transparency, and efficiency in collaboration with other teams in the organization in order to reach ours and their goals.

Advocate and advance modern software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.

Guiding the teams in continuous improvement and team dynamics.
