Engineering Manager - BVP Test

Axis has the largest test department in Sweden - it says something about our passion and commitment for quality!
We now are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our video product test team within Axis Quality Assurance in Lund .

Who is your future team?
As Engineering Manager for BVP Test you will work with quality assurance of new technology and solutions. You will lead a highly skilled and motivated team, and you will be able to set the strategic direction for it.

The team provides testing expertise and assist R&D in providing the high level of quality the market expects. This includes all aspects of quality assurance, including functional and non-functional testing as well as a joint responsibility for the development processes.

You will be working together with experienced managers that will inspire you and help you in your personal development.

What you'll do here as Engineering Manager
The BVP Test team supports Base Video Products within Axis R&D organization. This organization have the responsibility for developing the high-end products, mainly cameras, that Axis is known for.

Your main tasks will be to:

* Lead the team and individuals in their daily activities and make sure we get most out of everyone and that they get the support they need.
* Run the day-to-day operations making sure that we have the right strategy, competence, test processes and tools.
* Work together with your counterparts in the R&D organization and be up to date with project plans and need of resources for new projects and technologies.
* Develop your team and its members related to both the needs of the company as well as in balance with the needs of every individual.
* Perform standard management tasks like salary setting, budgeting, recruitments etc.

You will report to the director of Video Product Test within the Quality Assurance department.

* At least a few years' experience in technical leading roles. You have a proven successful track record in leading and developing people and coaching them to discover their full potential.
* You are seen as positive and empathic listener with the ability to act when needed.
* You are passionate about testing and quality and have relevant test experiences from former assignments.
* You are fluent in English and Swedish.
* You always try to look at things from different angles to find the best possible solution.
