Our team has a deep knowledge of all aspects of Calling. Some of our flagship features are Dialer, Contacts, Call Logs, Truecaller Voice, Video Caller ID and Full-Screen Caller ID.
As an Engineering Manager, you will utilize your background in Mobile engineering to further build and develop our high-performing cross functional team around the core features for Truecaller success.
You will be an integral part of creating the product and technical strategy for the domain, and will be leading and inspiring the team to follow best practices and make sound technical decisions to meet the business objectives.
What do we expect from you
Proven leader with extensive experience in Engineering Management on technical cross-functional projects.
Previous extensive Experience with Mobile application software development (Android/iOS), app ecosystems, backend engineering with similar/same technologies.
Experience in working with Agile methodologies
Exceptional communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both internally and externally
Passionate about developing high-performing engineers and teams and solving complex problems
Experience with various product development methodologies
Comfortable in facilitating technical discussions and decisions within and outside the team
Data-driven, able to identify what data needs to be tracked and used for solid decision making
Strong organizational skills
Inspiring and influential and you’re driven by making an impact
Experience in working with multicultural teams

What will you work on
You will be an integral part of creating the product and technical strategy for the Calling, and you will be leading and inspiring the team to follow best practices and make sound technical decisions to meet the business objectives.
Day-to-day management and leadership of engineers with varied backgrounds in terms of skills and experience levels, including 1:1 coaching/mentoring, career planning & development, goal setting, and performance management.
Grow the team with the right talent and facilitate onboarding/offboarding for team members
Provide technical expertise, context and direction when solving complex problems.
Drive the technical strategy in collaboration with other peer Engineering
Collaborate with your product counterpart to efficiently deliver on the product and business outcomes.
Get involved in technical discussions with the teams on a formal and ad-hoc basis, always be available for clarification, facilitation or quick decision making.
Highlight technical risks and areas of improvement.
Champion and implement sustainable best-practices.

It would be great if you also have
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
A wide breadth of awareness in the current engineering landscape including Android and Mobile App Development and its ecosystem, toolkits and best methodologies
