Engineering Manager - eCommerce

We are looking for a strategic leader, with a great passion for both people and technology, to join our team as IT manager for eCommerce, Verisure Innovation, Technology North. 

Verisure Innovation is growing and expanding internationally whilst rolling out our new eCommerce platform for Verisure and Arlo. We are now searching for someone that will lead the IT team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and continue to build our eCommerce platform for the future.

 

About the Job

You will be managing our eCommerce team located in Malmö and in various other countries cross Europe. The eCommerce team belongs to Business Application department, Technology North. You will report to Business Application manager and be an important member in the management team.  You will work from our modern office located in center of Malmö, 5 minutes’ walk from the central station.

As eCommerce Manager, you will be leading the team in both strategic and operational parts. Together with the team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and seek smooth digital experiences for our customers. This will include but is not limited to:

* Develop collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure good collaboration between business and IT, to provide great business value
* Develop, lead, and support your team members to deliver a future proofed e-commerce platform that can scale. The team consists of product owner, software developers and tester
* Work with the team and key stakeholders to develop strategies and visions of the e-commerce platform
* Be accountable for the technical delivery
* Lead and continuously improve our ways of working
* Facilitate collaboration with other engineering teams
* Responsible for the people processes such as recruitment, performance, competence, career development, health, and wellbeing of your co-workers
* Manage the overall financial responsibilities and activities of the department

You have a proven track record in leading a team within IT Technology and within an agile environment. We think you thrive at working in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment and that you are able to communicate clearly around strategies, goals as well as the day-to-day status of operation.

Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years’ experience from management positions within IT Technology.
* You are passionate and enthusiastic about what you do and rely on that to motivate members of your team
* Strong leadership skills where you use strong listening skills and ability to coach your team members
* You advocate and facilitate continuous improvement and learning
* You are an excellent communicator and have strong interpersonal skills
* Experience in eCommerce platforms, preferably Magento
* Strong understanding of online businesses and marketing
* Experience working with a mix of internal and external teams, located inhouse and across Europe
* Experience in Agile Methodologies
* Ability to manage vendor negotiations and contractual relationships 
* Fluent in English
* University degree in engineering management
