Engineering Manager – Embedded Doro, Kalix

At Doro in Kalix, we have a long history of providing world-class care products for the European market. We are now taking the next step in the journey to enable the delivery of our future care services. This involves developing innovative, digitally enabled care products and services that will help seniors to further improve their quality of independent living. We are now looking for an engineering manager to lead our development team in Kalix, that will take part in creating great value for seniors, their families and the society.

 

What you’ll do

You will be the leader of a development team consisting of about 10 embedded developers, testers and project managers, a team that works with development of Doro branded products. You will focus on leadership and building a high performing team that deliver high-value products to our customers. You will…


• lead a highly knowledgeable and experienced team of developers that develop Doro’s current and future products within the Doro Care business area. The product range consist of care phones, used as the central hub to connect other peripherals like, smart home sensors, telecare accessories and alarm triggers that is developed in-house or sourced from partners.
• be a great leader and team player where you coach and develop your team and colleagues in their daily work
• be part of the R&D leadership team who take full responsibility for the development both in-house and externally

 

Your profile


• Experience from leading a product development organization with both hardware and software development of embedded products
• You like to drive continuous improvements within both development and test where you challenge the co-workers with new ideas and modern methodologies
• You understand the full life cycle of products within development, maintenance and support and are used to assist in dealing with suppliers and manufacturers
• You are self-driven, passionate and have great communication skills
• You are a team player who loves to share your knowledge and ideas
• Curious about new technics and like creating solutions together with your team and other stakeholders

 

You will be based at our spacious office in Kalix were we are around 30 persons.
