We are now looking for an Engineer Manager leading the area of Event Messaging within Integration Enablement service area.
The tooling and services Integration Enablement provide should simplify life as IKEA software engineer and enable us to exchange data in new ways. We are building an event mesh and setting up event messaging capabilities as a service to the entire IKEA ecosystem and beyond, as we want all to be able to produce and consume data at scale.
We provide the tools and technology that enable us to accelerating our technology strategy with trusted patterns and self-service offerings, thus abstracting the complexities of underlying core components, creating a simple, versatile and consumer centric offer. 
To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
Extensive knowledge of software engineering from ground up or extensive knowledge of the technical services in the Hybrid Cloud Event Mesh area
Good knowledge of using industry standard toolsets
Good knowledge of design and architecture concepts (i.e. microservices)
Ability to lead engineer teams in change
Ability to actively acquire new knowledge and skills
Ability to embed a culture of agile and constantly looking for continuous improvement and encouraging simplicity, efficiency, innovation and accountability.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Engineering manager, you will be part of driving the Digital Technology’s agenda by enabling products and services based the needs from our colleagues at Digital but also from other parts of the Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems organization. You will lead and empower teams to deliver maximum value to the user with measurable impact.
Among many tasks you will be:
Enable technical structures for event API’s, event mesh and all related digital products to support event based patterns in a hybrid multi cloud environment
In close collaboration with our architects drive our agenda within this strategic area
Managing stakeholders and work closely with the ecosystem around you
Leading and organising a team of engineers following lean and DevOps principles to implement, evolve, support and own the service or product components to Group Digital quality standards
Responsible for recruitment, performance, competence and career development of individuals in the team
Helping to build a digital mindset and an engineering culture that is accountable, and result orientated

In this role you will report to Service Manager in Data Enablement Technology. This position is based in Helsingborg, but during COVID we all work from home
ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
Group Digital set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We drive the development, provision and operation of our digital products and services through the use of new and existing technology and agile delivery methods to deliver at pace. At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend the technical, people and business skills needed to ensure continuous development and growth of our digital capability.
