Axis is now looking for the right person to fill a position as Engineering Manager to one of our Mechanical teams within the Research & Development organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this position you will manage the Mechanics Base Video Products PTZ team. This is a team of Mechanical Engineers that is part of the Base Video Products department and is focusing on new product development within this area. The team is working in close cooperation with Electronics and Software development teams, but also with other teams within the company, such as Operations and Product Management. Within the teams we have engineers with experience ranging from newly graduated to many years.

As an Engineering Manager you will be responsible for driving and developing a group of highly skilled engineers. You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:

* Long term planning
* Allocate resources to projects
* Follow up and evaluate projects
* Develop the team and streamline its processes
* Budgeting
* Teambuilding
* Recruitment
* Appraisal, development and salary talks
* Coaching the engineers in the daily work
* Speaking partner in technical discussions

You will report to the director of the Base Video Products PTZ-department.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a driven and service minded Engineering Manager with previous team leading experience to lead and prioritize the product development work in this Mechanical team within R&D. We believe you have an educational background in engineering with a relevant master’s degree, previous engineering experience within the Mechanical area and enjoy engaging in technical problem solving.

It is also important to have basic understanding of both Electronics and Software development areas to understand and cultivate the cooperation with the closest teams. You will work in a highly skilled team and your ability to introduce new employees and build the team will be crucial for our success.
