In brief

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our leadership team for Engineering and make Nordnet the first bank in Sweden with a cloud based platform. We are currently organized in 4 domains – Foundation, Discover, Execution and Platform. The mission for the Platform domain is to enable efficient delivery and a great developer experience for all teams at Nordnet. We work in a microservices based architecture with high demands on availability and scalability of the backend applications. We use technologies like GCP, Java, Spring boot and Kubernetes. We believe in continuous delivery and make dozens of production releases every day. The Platform teams enables this way of working by providing tools, frameworks & other infrastructure to all Nordnet teams.

About the role

The Platform domain currently consists of 6 teams and you will manage 2-3 teams. As manager you support the growth and success of your teams and you work closely with the other mangers within Engineering to support the growth of Engineering as a whole. As Engineering Manager you are responsible for the outcome of your teams, and you use coaching and facilitation to help your teams succeed and continuously deliver value to the product teams. You promote agile ways of working both within your teams and within Nordnet.

You report to the Head of Engineering and will be located in Stockholm together with the rest of Engineeing.

You are passionate about agile development, leadership, coaching and technology. You are organized and communicative in a way that benefits the team’s working climate and ability to excel.

You have a background that probably includes:

• At least 5 years of experience working as Engineer in an agile dev team
• Agile methodologies
• Leading agile teams
• Coaching and facilitation
• At least an BSc degree or similar in relevant field
• Fluent language skills in English
• Bank & Finance experience is a plus
