As an Engineering Manager at Greenely, you will be instrumental in driving our technical vision and leading a team of skilled engineers. You’ll oversee the development of cutting-edge solutions that empower households to take control of their energy consumption. Your leadership will be key in fostering innovation, ensuring high-quality delivery, and scaling our engineering capabilities.

 
Your Daily Impact:




Lead and Inspire: Guide and support a talented engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. You’ll lead by example, motivating your team to achieve their best.





Drive Technical Excellence: Ensure high-quality code and innovative solutions that align with our mission. Your technical expertise will be crucial in guiding the team through complex challenges and making well-informed decisions.





Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product and data science, to integrate technology seamlessly into the Greenely platform. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential.





Foster Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You’ll set ambitious goals, mentor team members, and drive efficiency and productivity through best practices and process optimization.





Ensure Accountability: Take ownership of your team’s deliverables, driving your team to meet and exceed goals. You’ll anticipate potential risks, ensure quality, and follow through on commitments, leading your team to success.




 

What You'll Need to Succeed:




Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role, with a strong background in backend development, particularly with Python.





Expertise in problem-solving, with a deep understanding of software development best practices, architecture, and design patterns.





Strong leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring, empowering, and inspiring your team.





Excellent communication skills and the ability to facilitate collaboration across teams and departments.





Familiarity with API or web frameworks such as Flask or Django, and cloud services like AWS.





A proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.





Experience with time-series data, Docker, and IoT is a bonus.
