Engineering Manager to Levels Group

Together we build sophisticated and compelling web applications for big and exciting clients, help develop digital products for new and promising start-up companies, and at times even pitch our inhouse-bred product ideas in front of investors! We are a team of curious, collaborative people who are eager to share knowledge and insights and who jump at any opportunity to explore new uncharted territories.

Here is where you enter the picture:
As Engineering Manager you will join our friendly tech organization consisting of developers, designers, and product managers among others. At this moment we are currently working swiftly with Kubernetes, Docker, Kotlin, React, Modern JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS, but as we are always looking to improve ourselves, we are always open to new ways of working, which you would be highly involved in.

As Engineering Manager we expect you to be confident in explaining the outcomes of different technical paths and advising the organisation in technical decisions best suited for our organization and our clients. Some of our projects originate in-house such as Strike, whereas others are border-crossing start-ups in East Africa such as Kupatana and Afripods, as well as promising startups based right here in Sweden such as Storage365 and Target Aid.

We are looking for you who:
- Have a proven engineering background and several years of development experience.
- Are passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others grow on a personal and professional level.
- Have experience encouraging and are passionate about a strong engineering culture in an agile environment.
- Have experience working with a variety of partners and helping them understand the trade-offs to different product and technical decisions.


What and how will you be working?
- Mentoring and managing a group of developers in their projects as well as in their career development.
- Drive and quality assure technical delivery of the development team.
- Be an advocate for modern software development.
- You will support projects at big and exciting unicorn companies, either at their premises or in our office.
- You will support projects at promising start-ups where your expertise will be put to good use to build its strategic fundamental base.
