Senior Engineering Manager - Wellbeing IoT
Traditionally the appliance industry has been all about Hardware. Today, in the eye of IoT, voice assistants and autonomous systems, Software is increasingly entering the center stage to be married with hardware for a winning product experience. The Consumer Experience organization in Electrolux was founded to deliver on this journey and the focus areas cut across all Electrolux product categories. As a part of this journey, Electrolux is strengthening the team with an Engineering Manager experienced in fast paced, user-oriented software product development within the IoT space.
You will be part of a cross functional product team based in Stockholm, working with Design and Product management to lead the Engineering team developing our apps and API’s for our consumer products, such as robotic vacuums, air purifiers and air conditioners.
You will also play a key leadership role in the wider transformational journey of Electrolux Consumer Experience towards agile ways of working and user obsessed software product development.


Your Role:
This is a job for a person that can create and navigate a landscape where both hardware and software product development, as well as new business models and traditional retail business models, co-exist and keep the friction between them manageable.
The mission is to lead the Software Product Engineering team at Electrolux with a focus on the apps and services within the Wellbeing experience area, globally.


Main responsibilities:
•As an Engineering Manager you will nurture a culture of trust, freedom, responsibility, quality and pride in what we do and how we act.

•In your role you will participate in the development of our products and organization from both a strategical perspective as well as taking active part in our daily operations.
•You engage in active leadership for product and team development through our OKR process and through daily cooperation within the leadership team.
•You will also be responsible for financial planning, cost management and budget processes.

Preferred career experience and skills:
•Minimum 8 years’ experience from consumer-facing agile software product development.
•Preferred experience from similar engineering leadership roles.
•Required experience from working with DevOps teams in cloud environment, preferably Microsoft Azure.
•Required experience from iOS and Android app development, preferably in a cross-platform technique like Xamarin or React.
•Required experience from insights and data driven design and experimentation.
•Experienced working closely with hardware & firmware developers, UX designers, and Product Management.


Language:
•Fluent in spoken and written English
