As an Engineering Performance Manager you will be responsible for the quality-cost-delivery performance of the engineering organization. You will align with the D&IS (Digital & Integrated Systems) performance and governance organization on the necessary program and performance KPI, and align these KPIs with the program managers and the engineering teams as well as creating the picture for the Techflo Technology Center. Additionally, you will identify overall gaps in resource availability vs demand, gaps in the performance of programs and propose together with the program managers necessary actions and keeping the overview over the complete budget of the Technology Center.
The engineering performance manager reports to the Director of the Technology Center. Within this role you will create reports for Vice President Core Technology and to President of D&IS, and you will participate in the program review boards and critical program reviews. Furthermore, you will operate globally and co-operate with the business worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
Manage engineering performance for the Technology Center:
Define and align the performance measurements.
Populate these KPI templates with data, identify gaps and improvements.
Align on performance improvement actions with program management and line management.
Create resource overview for the complete Technology Center.
Create budget overview for the complete Technology Center.
Create overview of the overall program performance for the Technology Center.
Identify gaps and align the management of these gaps with program management and line management.
External and Internal stakeholder management.
Reporting:
Engineering performance KPI reports.
Compiled resource reports – demands vs capacity.
Compiled budget reports on Metaprograms and other programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or project management.
Proven record of experience in managing in complex program environments.
Basic understanding of product development processes, understanding of hardware and software processes.
International working experience required.
Very good communication and presentation skills.
Experience in leading in a matrix organisation needed.
Flexibility and international travel to a medium degree required.
