HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, that develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used for example to transmit Power over long distances, on overhead lines or via submarine cables.
In the role as Engineering Planner & Control Specialist at the HVDC Valve project management department you will be responsible for development & updating project schedules and maintained in close collaboration with project managers and other planning functions in the organization. Furthermore in this role you will also have a key role to follow up on KPIs for quality aspects and documentation of the valve projects.

Your responsibilities
Update and maintain project schedules in collaboration with valve project management
Coordinate with other planning functions within the global HVDC organization, in order to align all stakeholders
Monitor major key milestones (OTD – On Time Delivery) measurements for ongoing projects and work proactively in follow up of project plans, milestones.
Follow up of project KPI’s in quality aspects and documentation
Drive improvement initiatives within the valve project management team
Close co-ordination with virtual teams to ensure project success.
Your background
Experience of working as a planner
Understanding of logical sequencing and interafacing of project execution activities
Experience in planning tools such as MS Project. Experience with Primavera, MS Power BI and MS Sharepoint is beneficial
You are a person who likes to work with processes and quality
You are open minded and a team player
You enjoy working in diverse and multicultural teams and are interested to share your experiences and knowledge with your colleagues as well as learning from others
Proficiency in English is required for this role, additional language skills and/or Swedish is an advantage
