Engineering Project Leader

The organization is now expanding within technical project management and is looking for an Engineering Project Leader (EPL). The EPL is a role that leads and guides the engineering team on a daily basis in regards to time plan alignment, milestones and engineering deliverables. GKN is a worldwide organization with engineering sites in multiple international locations; therefore as part of the global Project Team, the EPL will have international contacts on daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for the EPL are to lead the engineering team and act on project activities and deviations. Every EPL is assigned to one or more engineering tasks or projects.
Within ongoing projects and tasks, the EPL is responsible for setting up, communicating and following up the main engineering time plan. Together with representatives from engineering line functions, the EPL continually, throughout the project, structures and analyses the project engineering timing, risks and communication strategy, reporting to local and global project management. Also, the EPL drives activities towards project sign-off decisions, ensuring alignment with customer and internal milestones. The EPL is the main point of contact concerning project discussions within the engineering organization.

The EPL reports to the Project Manager in Köping, the Global Customer Account team and to the Engineering Site Management team in Köping.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- MSc or BSc Degree in Engineering or related field of study.
- Experience from product development within the automotive industry.
- Strong project leadership experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal. German language skill is a plus.
