Enterprise and Industrial IT Network Expert

As a Network Expert, you will be part of a dynamic global team, with responsibility and reach throughout the SKF Group. SKF is on a digitalization journey and here is a great opportunity to join a dedicated force working towards enabling digital business through proactive development of network services while ensuring the day-to-day operations are stable.

You will be working in an outsourced IT environment focused on delivery of end-to-end infrastructure solutions, working closely with regional stakeholders, IT vendors and other IT teams.

Key responsibilities
As a Network Expert, you will consult internal customers, understand business requirements and work with IT network suppliers, and industrial network suppliers, to ensure optimal solution is delivered to meet those needs. Furthermore, you will:
Act as the Network team’s interface towards the agreed stakeholders
Be an active contributor to industrial solution and delivery of design work
Drive innovation and continuous user experience improvement in the network domain, together with global colleagues and IT vendors
Represent assigned domains in various global initiatives and projects, providing solution creation guidance or subsequent implementation assistance
Act as required in complex incidents requiring SKF Infrastructure or network knowledge to ensure minimal business impact


We expect you to have
BA/BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Extensive experience of working within the IT infrastructure and IT network area on a senior level
Experience with Global IT Outsourcing strategy and implementation
Proven experience in designing, integrating, and supporting enterprise and industrial network solutions in a global multi-vendor outsourced IT environment
Experience of leading small network projects without supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional language skills are beneficial

Additional information for you:
Location: Europe, preferably in one of SKF’s major sites. Local contract.

The successful candidate will report to Jukka Oksanen, Network Manager.
