What’s in it for you
This role is within our Architecture & Software Hub team. Our team is driving, not only where our future digital architecture is headed, but also how we as a company engage with external developers, how we continue to evolve as a software company by embracing new technology, and basically reinventing Volvo Cars from within.

As an Enterprise Architect and a core member of the team, you will be key when understanding and defining new capabilities and technology enablers for all of Volvo Cars digital services.

To succeed in this role, you should have a learning mindset where you have the experience and the cross-disciplinary communication skill-set to engage with the business community, and the product community, to translate current and future needs into tangible and understandable technology enablers, processes, and other capabilities. This position will report to the Head of Architecture & Software Hub and is located in Volvo Cars offices in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you will do
* Work together with the Product Manager, Business Analyst, and Product Owners in defining EPICS and setting priorities to deliver upon our vision
* Work together with the Solution Architects within the product cluster to convert the high-level solution design into technology solutions
* Align and coordinate with Enterprise Architect colleagues, both within and outside the product area, and contribute to the central architect community
* Act as a bridge between business- and information architecture and solutions, i.e. making sure that architectural artifacts are fit for purpose and that solutions are developed in accordance with business- and information requirements
* Act as an architecture subject matter expert within the product area and cluster
* Guide and support other Enterprise Architects, outside the product area, to understand your product area and cluster services and how to best utilize them


You and your skills
You are the one with the bird’s eye view on the total solution landscape and you have an inspiring way of working that gets people on board with the vision for the area you’re invested in.

You are experienced in developing target architectures for complex Digital Solutions, based on good know-how in creating and maintaining successful organizational solutions.

Knowledge in areas like Cloud Native architecture, capability mapping, architecture principles, and how they help organizations is key for you to succeed. Your skills also cover working with governance models to create guardrails, and you have an understanding of the impact of new business models. A great interest and good understanding of related areas like identity management, cyber security, and data privacy, and other common components of the end-to-end architecture are also important.
