Background

Alfa Laval is currently on a digital transformation journey. As part of this transformation we are creating a global organization to enable our business by building and optimizing our digital solutions in the analytics and business intelligence area to create a modern state of the art business intelligence platform that transforms our data into actionable insights. We are therefore looking for an Enterprise Architect that will be a key player in a successful journey in the analytics area.

To succeed in this role you are structured and driven, with the ability to see the big picture. You have a curious mind, and keep up with technological development and practices within the analytics area, and apply those pragmatically with focus on business value.

About the job

As our new Enterprise Architect for Analytics and Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our architectural roadmap, using that as the vital instrument to evolve the platform over time. You will ensure that the architectural runway for our BI and Analytics solutions is well governed and in synch.

You will also ensure that there is a sustainable and reliable framework and best practices for developing BI solutions on our new analytics platform based on Microsoft Azure. You will support our agile teams with guidelines and architectural decisions for development.

As an architect you will also be leading the journey from existing on-prem solutions to the new cloud platform by defining and maintaining the transition roadmap. You will work closely together with Enterprise, Domain and Solution Architects and other key stakeholders to optimize the solution landscape within Analytics and BI.

What you know

You have  a solid technical background and have good knowledge in relevant Microsoft technologies such as experience in Microsoft Azure analytics stack as well as the SQL Server BI suite. Experience of both backend and frontend technologies is a merit.

You have experience in similar roles, either as enterprise, domain or solution architect where you have been working in cross business functions, in international and multi-cultural environments.

You have the ability to translate business strategies, objectives and processes into efficient flexible and sustainable solutions and architecture

You have experience in agile methodologies and preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) which is currently implemented at Alfa Laval.
