The Architecture Function responsibility
- Set & continuously evolve the description of one North Star Target IT Architecture for Volvo Group, bringing in outside in perspectives. Manage the definitions and link to implementations
- Advice in defining & architecting for new strategic shifts and proactively drive strategy & governance
- Build competences & expertise across architecture disciplines and guide solution design
- Support transformation initiatives and harmonization of our IT landscape in different areas of the Volvo Group IT Architecture map


The Architecture Strategy and Governance team is part of the Architecture Function in Volvo Group Digital & IT. Architecture is a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with the commitment to transform towards the North Star Target IT Architecture which is the foundation for the Digital Industrial Footprint of the Volvo Group. Together with our digital talents, we will deliver the platforms on which future services and solutions will be built.


We are looking for an experience Architect to manage these challenges with us and in collaboration with the full IT community.

Your mission, in the Enterprise Architecture area, is to:
- Contribute to the overall IT architecture Strategy with definitions and principles, governance and review of key initiatives
- Contribute to or Drive digital transformation initiatives related to IT Architecture
- Contribute actively to the Architecture Strategy operationalization
- Communicate EA principles and best practice to architects around the organisation


You will be working in close collaboration with a large network of architects in the IT community, from Business to IT Delivery organizations.


Graduated with a master’s degree in IT, you have at least 5 years of experience as an IT or Enterprise Architect and have strong knowledge in IT architecture - If you do not have a master's degree, a longer experience would be necessary
You have architecture and technology skills, and you understand architecture principles
You can integrate all architecture disciplines (Business, Data, Application, Integration, Technology, Security)
You are comfortable in discussing with business about requirements and participate in Steering Committees
You have good presentation skills (written and verbal) and are able to put forward your points in a fact based and convincing manner
You are able to assess and manage IT risks and issues
You are a team player and can work in collaboration with the team
Fluent in English - all communications are made in this language
