Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) is a new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport solutions never seen before. We accelerate the development, commercialization, and sales of autonomous transport solutions, focusing on defined segments for the on- and off-road space. With entirely new business models and highly advanced technology we will meet and exceed expectations from customers, and contributing to a society that we want to live in. This is us, your new colleagues?


The Digital and IT team is new and growing team at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. Our mission is to enable the digital side of V.A.S. to transform from an internal start-up to a scale up. We do not do this on our own, we continuously interact and collaborate with our colleagues in the Volvo Group, our customers and our partners. In Digital and IT we fluently mix working with ambitious business strategies as well as with hands on implementations.


Who are you?


To work in a start-up means that you thrive in our dynamic environment of rapid change but strive for structure. Our model is truly one of collaboration and partnerships is a big part of how we aim to reach success. We think that you are a good influencer and practice networking. These are key skills to successfully navigate in our internal and external ecosystem. You have some experience as an architect, a big interest in the data domain, and have worked with Data management, Data Governance, Master Data Management or several of them. You have a relevant university degree, equivalent professional experience.


What will you do?


You will establish a data strategy and roadmap to enable Volvo Autonomous Solutions business priorities. Here you will guide us into a data-driven culture delivering high-quality data products that generate tangible value.


You nurture V.A.S. and our customers to take full advantage of the data that is generated by our autonomous system and the vehicles and machines in our transport solutions. You will support us in utilizing data for our operational efficiency as well as for building profitable digital services on top of it.


Additional responsibilities are:
Secure ethics in the use of data, as well as compliance to high security, and data protection standards.
Responsible for preparing for the Data Governance Committee.
Responsible for managing data and master data for V.A.S.
You network on behalf of V.A.S in the Volvo Group
Orchestrate a network inside V.A.S. that enable us to have a holistic view on data.

The location for this position is Gothenburg - Sweden.
