About the role
Are you a passionate IT Architect curious about data and technology, and looking to play a key role in shaping the future of a data and information landscape for an ethical global business?
Well, at IKEA we're looking for someone just like you to support the domain of Data and Information across all value streams in IKEA from a Shared Data & Technology angle. We're on a journey to create a robust information architecture as a key element of our target technology landscape, enabling our business movements at speed and scale. We are seeking a talent IT Architect to support this journey and the process of identifying new technologies that will allow and enable us to meet more of the many people.
With the introduction of an enterprise-wide Data & Analytics (D&A) platform, democratizing data throughout Inter IKEA, the business usage of data is recognised to grow rapidly. Consequently, data governance and data sharing processes and tools/platforms that will help end users in consuming the right, on-time data are becoming increasingly important.
You will bring your energy, drive, data and technical expertise into enablement and support of the broad range of data and information topics. In this domain, a wide variety of problem statements, often stretching over the virtual boundaries of Data & Analytics (D&A), Data Integration & Distribution (DD&I) and Information Management (IM), are addressed. Typical assignments range from supporting tool assessment through architecture to in-depth discussions and recommendations around target architectures and roadmaps. You work closely with the D&I EA lead, together you form the conscience of Data & Information domain.
More specific capabilities may include;
Supporting the framing of all initiatives with a robust Data & Information architecture direction and fit with shared responsibility for our roadmap.
Responsible for up-to-date architecture artefacts and data architecture patterns. Partnering with project teams to design, create and re-use the same.
Developing a network strengthening the foundational of a consistent data architecture across applications, integrations, and analytics.
Support the D&I lead to anchor our IKEA canonical data model. Together partner with Data & Analytics, as well as Integration teams to implement a decoupled data architecture, and a set of business APIs, independent of transactional systems.
