What you’ll do
Our Network Engineers are responsible to plan, build and maintain our Enterprise Network & Network Security solutions that our company organizations rely on. We are as a team globally responsible for all solutions needed to fulfill this scope. We are now looking for an Enterprise Network Security Specialist joining our Enterprise Network & Security Solution cluster within Digital Platform Products. The primary duties will include:
• Managing on-prem and cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Participate in assessing existing implementations, designing future state, and building transition plans for implementation of Hybrid cloud (Private & Public cloud) security setups
• Work closely with our team of network engineers and architects to ensure the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and practices in our enterprise networking environment
• Support Volvo Cars in building our capabilities to manage Cloud Infrastructure Network-as-code
• Planning and supporting (act as 2nd/ 3rd level) Network Security functions for on-prem and cloud implementations, mainly Azure (and AWS)
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations as needed to help our company develop and deliver cloud future state architectures and roadmaps
• Provide technical engineering and best practices concerning the overall security of the organization’s network infrastructure
• Document solutions and hand over to operations
You will also be working closely with the users of our network in order to identify potential issues and fix existing problems, employing exceptional problem-solving skills. We believe that you as a person enjoys guiding and helping our different application teams with various challenges they may encounter while establishing their services in the cloud.
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who have at least 3-5 years working experience as a network security engineer, security architect role or related position in a global environment. To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a good understanding of enterprise network solutions and extensive knowledge in network security solutions. Furthermore, you should have a documented knowledge in Azure.
You have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or equivalent experience in relevant field. You are fluent in English, both verbally and written. You are experienced working within teams that use collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps or alike.
As a person you are user focused and interested in cloud security engineering and its impact on greater business practices. You are flexible, open to new ideas and always looking for ways to improve. You are energetic, have forward thinking and you push for innovation. You are skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required. You have a holistic viewpoint and being value oriented, with an ability to inspire and motivate others in working towards a goal. Knowledge within application development, automotive industry, and SAFe methodology is a merit.
