As an Environment Specialist, you will contribute to our business success by improving our Environmental performance in many concrete ways. You will support the business by applying in-depth knowledge serving our customers, factories and delivery projects.
You would be improving and amplifying the applied environmental respect of the company. Therefore, we're looking for someone who is passionate about making a clear sustainable impact within ABB.
You will report directly to the Business Unit manager for the L&W product business but also work closely with the other local business line managers within Process Industries.
Your responsibilities
Projecting a strong focus on Sustainability throughout the Local ABB Process Industries organization. Raises awareness, implements practices and drive performance improvement programs.
Oversee environmental performance and progress of Sustainability objectives, including clear metrics of our sustainable impact.
Specifically support the L&W global product business in implementing processes and procedures to fulfill compliance with legislation around chemical substances, product certification and life cycle analyses.
Support Process Industries managers in ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant laws, standards, and guidelines. Ensures area of responsibility is audited according to program.
Engages external and internal stakeholders in order to enable cooperation, report on, raise awareness, and gain commitment on ABB's environment efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback.
Your background
A Bachelor ́s or Master ́s degree in technical area, preferably in environmental or chemical engineering.
Knowledge of chemical legislation and previous involvement in energy saving or process improvement projects is an advantage.
Experience in developing and report on project objectives is a merit. So is managing project-based initiatives within area of expertise.
Ability to cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness of Environment issues and initiatives and drive performance, engage with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility. (Passionate about making a clear sustainable impact within ABB).
A strong sense and proven record of ownership and responsibility working both individually and in a team.
You envision yourself as an integral part of problem-solving, contributing to both innovative solutions and their successful implementation.
Strong Communication skills.
Good Swedish and English communication skills (both verbal and written).
