Want to be a catalyzer for accelerating our path towards sustainability? As an Environment Specialist you will contribute to our business success by improving our environmental performance in many concrete ways.
Reporting to SCM Manager, you will support the business by applying in-depth knowledge serving our customers, factories and delivery projects. All in all, you would be improving and amplifying the applied environmental respect of the company.
Your responsibilities
Project a strong focus on sustainability throughout the local ABB Process Industries organization. Raise awareness, implement practices and drive performance improvement programs.
Oversee environmental performance and progress of sustainability objectives, including clear metrics of our sustainable impact.
Support managers on regulatory compliance to ensure the respective organization is compliant with related laws, standards, and guidelines. Ensure area of responsibility is audited according to program.
Contribute to effective risk management of environment related issues in the business by providing advice on key business decisions to the respective organization.
Engage external (e.g. customers, suppliers, sustainable organizations, and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to enable cooperation, report on, raise awareness, and gain commitment on ABB's environment efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback.
Ensure appropriate environmental equipment and tools are available and used. Identify, plan and initiate training needed, e.g. for employees, site managers, and ensure delivery of training from the business. Drive and ensure compliance with management systems (e.g. ISO 14001).

Your background
Relevant academic degree.
Experience in environment performance or Corporate Responsibility related projects.
Experience in developing and reporting on project objectives is a merit. So is managing project-based initiatives within area of expertise.
Ability to cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness of environment issues.
Passionate about making a clear sustainable impact within ABB.
A strong sense and proven record of ownership and responsibility working both individually and in a team.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written alike.
