Do you want to contribute to making the world a better place with less hazardous substances and better materials? Axis is currently looking for another Environmental Compliance Engineer to join our fantastic environmental and sustainability team within Operations at Axis in Lund.

The environment and sustainability group within Operations is a group of eight dedicated individuals. We drive the environmental strategy for the entire company, and we also drive the sustainability agenda linked to our supply chain. We ensure our products meet compliance requirements in different markets.
What will you do here as an Environmental Compliance Engineer?
The main task of our Environmental Compliance Engineers is to ensure that the company and our products meet the environmental requirements placed on us and our products. Axis is committed to phasing out hazardous substances and has the ambition to be one step ahead of legislation. For example, we aim for all our new network cameras to be BFR/CFR/PVC free from 2024 and from 2025 this requirement will apply to all new Axis-designed products.
In your role, you will collaborate with a large part of the organization within Axis as well as with authorities and international suppliers.
You will, among other things:
* Support the product development organization with environmental expertise linked to material selection and substance compliance.
* Educate the company and suppliers in environmental compliance.
* Drive change activities to ensure continued compliance with applicable requirements and that Axis remains at the forefront.
* Review and assess material declarations from suppliers.
* Support Axis sales and marketing organizations with information regarding environmental performance at product level.
The role may involve international travel of approximately 10 days per year.
Who are we looking for?
As a person you have:
* High sense of responsibility, both regarding your own tasks but also for the team to achieve the common results.
* The ability to see details and be thorough.
* Very good cooperation skills and you contribute to a positive and open working climate.
* A structured way of working that results in efficient processes for both you and others.
* Fluency in English as you will have a lot of contact with suppliers all over the world and that all documentation is in English.
We would be glad to hear that you to have:
* A university degree in ecosystem engineering, chemistry, material science, biology or similar.
* Knowledge of plastic materials or design materials used in electronic assemblies.
* A great interest in environmental issues linked to materials and production.
* Advanced skills in using Excel.
* Experience with RoHS, REACH and other similar chemical regulations.
