The section Plant Environment Team in VCT is , a new dedicated team with the purpose to support and provide prerequisites to secure legal and other requirements as well as management and control of environmental performance and to secure coordination related to environmental impacts including but not limited to use of energy (including fuels), use of water, emissions to air, emissions to water, waste, use of raw material and natural resources.

We are now looking for an Environmental Manager who will be responsible for the environmental work within the Torslanda plant in Gothenburg.Your work will be organized within Plant Maintenance & Facilities department, there collaboration with other departments and colleagues as well as independency is important.
What you’ll do
* Identify and interpret relevant environmental legislation and update required instructions to ensure legal compliance
* Coordinate environmental permits, regulatory agency inspections and measurements at the plant
* Develop procedures, targets and activities to improve environmental performance and resource efficiency in the plant
* Establish good communication with management teams as well as production teams, which is especially important in this challenging production environment
* Participate in internal and external networks, to make environmental considerations part of the daily work and based on this open opportunities for development of environmental performance
* In case of an environmental accident, coordinate necessary actions and report promptly according to applicable routines
* Act proactively, search for possible issues within the plant and be able to get support from multiple stakeholders to find the most efficient solution
* Participate in the factory projects to incl environmental considerations and that the best possible environmental standards are used in new installations.
Coordinate factory targets to be climate neutral by latest 2025
Required qualifications * University degree from relevant studies
* Experience from working within the environmental field
* Experience from manufacturing is meritorious
* Environmental legislation and other requirements
* Leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders
* Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
* Driving license "B"
