Our challenge
Climate change is the ultimate safety test and Volvo Cars will pioneer sustainability as we have always done with safety. We are integrating sustainability in the whole lifecycle of our vehicles with the aim for carbon neutrality by 2040. Environmental regulations and expectations are expanding worldwide, and data management is becoming more important. There are many challenges to face in the near future and we therefore need to strengthen our Environmental Data Team.
We are an engaged and committed team working with agile principles within Material Efficiency at Volvo Cars' Sustainability Center. Do you want to develop into an Environmental Data Analyst? If so, this is the chance for you! You will have the opportunity to do lot of analysis and system development work as well as work within a broad circle of contacts, both within and outside of Volvo Cars.
Our scope is primarily data handling within IMDS (International Material Data System), Sustainable materials, Substances of Concern, Recyclability and LCA.
What you’ll do
You will analyze and report environmental data, including homologation and legal compliance. You will handle and program databases and scripts as well as work with continuous improvements of our processes and our data handling.
Further, you will handle IMDS communication, support, and training, internally as well as externally. You will also get the chance to participate in System Operational Development projects.
You and your skills
You have a university degree or equivalent and experience from effective data management and IT-systems. You have database- or programming knowledge, preferably from Microsoft Access, SQL, and VBA.
Experience or knowledge in environmental science, chemistry or material/substances is meritorious.
Your analytical capability makes it possible for you to handle a large amount of complex data. You are able to keep attention to details as well as keeping a holistic view. You have strong cooperation and communication skills that make you a great team player.
