Arbetsbeskrivning
At Sandvik Coromant and Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS), we encourage new ideas, provide you with great opportunities for development, and are always looking for talented people who would like to extend their potential. We leverage our shared passion, diversity, open-mindedness, and cooperative spirit to shape the future of our industry – as well as the path of your career.
We’re now looking for an Environmental Specialist to join our global company. Do you want to work in an innovative environment with true global collaborations and refine your skills? Then this might be the job for you!
Your mission
You take the responsibility for supporting, developing and improving environmental work, in close cooperation with the production units in implementation and follow-up of long-term environmental objectives. You work across Coromant, SMS and Sandvik with initiatives in the environmental areas of the sustainable business targets, whilst acting as a representative in the SMS Environmental Group. This role includes supportive work for the production units – you help create CO2 reduction plans and source low carbon energy, reduce waste and increase circularity, and follow up on control of major accidents involving environmental impact. You conduct EHS Due Diligence for Coromant mergers and acquisitions and support integration of acquired companies.
This position allows for a flexible working location in either Sandviken, Kista, Västberga, Uppsala, or Gimo and involves international travel days.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a relevant university degree, for example in business or environmental science. Essential for this position is an overall knowledge within the EHS area and an extensive and detailed knowledge of environmental key points such as legislation, trends, demands along with questions and issues related to the manufacturing industry. You have good English communication skills and the ability to present information to groups with the intended degree of formality.
With an analytical mindset, you easily understand correlations and processes and have the capacity for driving forward improvements, projects and necessary changes if needed. Complementing this are your leadership skills and proactive workflow – you act on problems, identify and assess current as well as future needs. You’re humble, supportive and like to create meaningful relationships with both colleagues and stakeholders.
Our culture
At Sandvik Coromant, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
