Description
Do you have a great interest in renewable energy and climate issues? Would you like to work with renewable energy strategies, helping Tetra Pak to further strengthen its position as an environmentally responsible company?
The role of Global Environment is to support our business by defining and implementing an environmental strategy, developing supporting policies and ensuring implementation throughout Tetra Pak. For year 2020, one of the priorities is to deliver on our ambitious global Climate Goal.
In your role as Environmental Specialist - Renewable Energy you will be responsible for mapping what renewable energy options or other climate instruments that are available to Tetra Pak in our 2020 climate ambition. A central part of your work will be to produce business cases for investment in these different energy solutions. You will report to the Climate Performance Manager in Global Environment.
The position is temporary for one year. The position is based in Lund, Sweden, and travelling will require less than 10% of your time.
Main responsibilities
- Evaluate renewable energy options and other climate instruments of interest for Tetra Pak and produce relevant business cases.
- Propose a renewable energy strategy for Tetra Pak operations as well as across Tetra Pak's value chain.
- Coordinate a renewable energy accounting policy aligned with Tetra Pak climate accounting principles.
- Support internal and external communication on topics related to your responsibilities.
- Engage with external partners relevant to your responsibilities.
Qualifications
You have a solid educational background e.g. MSc in Engineering and/or Environment. You have previous experience from working with renewable energy and strategy development. Knowledge of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol is meriting. You are a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
You are result oriented and you work in a structured and organized way. You combine an analytic and proactive mindset to support the organization. To communicate with people on all levels comes natural to you and you can work both independently as well as in groups/projects.
In this position we require excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
