About this opportunity
Would you like to develop Ericsson Private 5G (EP5G) Network products and be part in driving our technology leadership?
Ericsson Private 5G (EP5G) is a high-performance, easy-to-use, and highly reliable cellular connectivity product that addresses the industrial market, including indoor and outdoor facilities of all sizes. Main features include high device density capacity, low latency, and powerful security protocols. We are now looking for a Development Support Engineer to join our Platform Development team. In this position you will have a meaningful role in our development organization and hands-on build our highly advanced products as well as manage the physical development and test environment. You will continuously encounter new challenges and get the opportunity to drive activities such as system prototype and test system builds, product demo preparation as well as lab environment and test infrastructure development to enable test of future product characteristics. You will
Build and manage EP5G physical test environment including product configuration and system set-up
Drive prototype builds and support product demos (including customer demos)
Perform initial testing of third-party product compatibility
Drive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, provide high quality support and advice to developers and customer support function, hence enable effective development environment and world class customer support
Develop and manage lab environment as well as execute on set roadmap including procurement of instruments, equipment, and services
Be responsible for lab CAPEX and OPEX budget
Drive continuous improvements hence cater for further scaling and R&D efficiency
Key Qualifications:
A successful candidate is driven, has very good networking, collaboration, and interpersonal skills in English, both in written and oral form, a talent for innovation, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, covering:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Interest and experience of working with:
Building telecommunication system including equipment configuration and SW upgrade
Programming and scripting (including instrument automation)
Network and lab test environment set-up and management
Hands-on experience when it comes to Ericsson Radio Products
Eager to learn, curious, solution oriented as well as true standout colleague
Result oriented, having an innovative mentality and valuing high quality results
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience within the field of building and configuring telecommunication systems is highly preferred
