Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is a global technology development organization with about 9800 employees for all truck brands in the Volvo Group. This means that GTT is the place to be if you want to contribute to the development of new technologies and solutions. Data is the new gold and working with data responsibly and pragmatically is crucial in developing all the exciting future products we have lined up. As a natural consequence, the area of Data Privacy and Compliance is of growing importance in product development in GTT.  

We all know that data is the new gold. With an increased interest in data, several new data legislations are on the way. In Volvo GTT we are now stepping up our ambitions and focus when it comes to vehicle data and data compliance.  

Who are we? 
In your role you will be part of the group Data Governance and Compliance belonging to Data and Simulation within Volvo GTT. We are a dynamic team of professionals working within areas such as data privacy, data compliance, external data sharing and data governance.  

We are now seeking an experienced and agile epic leader to oversee our data compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, as well as experience in developing and implementing compliance programs. The Epic Leader will be responsible for ensuring that our organization is compliant with all relevant data privacy laws and regulations and will work closely with other departments to ensure data is collected, stored, and used in a responsible and ethical manner.

Who are you?
We believe you have extensive experience in vehicle data, data compliance, and IT systems in a complex global product development organization. Foremost you need to have a strong drive, be comfortable working with large degrees of uncertainty, and work to identify pragmatic and robust structures and solutions to handle data compliance. 

Furthermore, you have a proven record of driving successful cross functional technical pre-studies and initiatives and are skilled in risk and stakeholder management across organizations and levels. 



Key Responsibilities 
Drive data compliance epics and pre-studies enabling GTT to be compliant with data-related regulations. 
Collaborate with legal and IT teams to ensure that data privacy policies and procedures are aligned with our organizational goals and objectives. 
Build GTT-wide awareness and competency in the area of data compliance. 
Develop and implement data compliance policies and procedures. 
Monitor and assess compliance with data privacy laws and regulations. 
Provide guidance and training to employees on data compliance best practices. 
Work with other departments to ensure data is collected, stored, and used in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. 
Stay up to date with changes in data compliance regulations and adjust our compliance programs accordingly. 


Qualifications 
Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. law, business, information technology) 
7+ years of experience in data compliance or a related field 

Strong understanding of data compliance laws and regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, Data Act, AI Act) 
Experience from leading compliance programs and epics. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
Fluency in English is essential. 
Previous experience from driving data compliance epics in GTT is meritorious.
